AN OH THAT! ORIGINAL
THE GREATGIVE-OFF
GENEROSITY WITH MOMENTUM.
Two organizations. Two communities. One live competition.
Each side rallies its people around a clearly defined way to generate support. Both organizations keep the support they earn.
The organization leading the published competition metric at the finish receives something extra: a winner benefit confirmed before that edition begins.
IN DEVELOPMENT
HOW THE GREAT GIVE-OFF WORKS
TWO ORGANIZATIONS ENTER.BOTH CAN COME OUT AHEAD.
1
MEET THE TWO
Two verified nonprofits, chapters or community organizations take the same stage for the same defined competition period.
2
RALLY THE COMMUNITIES
Each organization brings its people. Viewers watch, participate and support the side they care about.
3
WATCH IT MOVE
A simple, auditable scoreboard tracks the published primary competition metric during the show.
4
ONE GETS SOMETHING EXTRA
Both organizations retain the support they generated. The leader receives an additional winner benefit supplied or funded for that edition.
THE COMPETITION CREATES THE ENERGY.THE GIVING CREATES THE IMPACT.
IMPORTANT DISTINCTION
THE MISSIONS AREN'T COMPETING.THE COMMUNITIES ARE RALLYING.
THE GREAT GIVE-OFF never declares one mission more worthy than another.
The competition is about participation: which community can mobilize around a clear goal during the same live show?
Every participating organization enters with a real mission, a real community and a real opportunity to benefit.
Both keep what they generate. One earns the additional winner benefit.
EVERYBODY CAN DO GOOD.THE SCOREBOARD JUST MAKES IT MORE FUN.
THIS IS A SHOW
GENEROSITY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE BORING.
Real organizations. Real supporters. A clock. A scoreboard.
Challenges, offers, surprises and momentum.
And an outcome nobody knows when the show begins.
You don't have to belong to either organization to get caught up in it.
You can pick a side. Help move the score. Discover something worth supporting. Or just watch two communities go for it.
WATCH IT. RALLY IT.GIVE IT. CHANGE THE SCORE.
WHAT THE SCOREBOARD ACTUALLY MEANS
EVERY NUMBER ON THE BOARD CAME FROM SOMEBODY SAYING: I'M IN.
A purchase. A contribution. A community answering the call. The score moves because somebody decided to move it.
Every edition brings two organizations, two communities and a new reason to rally.
- ORGANIZATION A1,284 PTS
- ORGANIZATION B1,167 PTS
118 TO TAKE THE LEAD.
COMMERCE + CONTRIBUTION
THERE'S MORE THAN ONE WAY TO MOVE THE BOARD.
An edition of THE GREAT GIVE-OFF can include approved products, offers, experiences and other clearly disclosed ways to benefit the participating organizations.
Direct contributions may also be available where appropriate.
But these are not interchangeable.
SHOP
BUY SOMETHING. CREATE A BENEFIT.
When a retail purchase benefits an organization, we disclose clearly before purchase:
- what is being sold
- seller of record
- price
- fulfillment responsibility
- return terms
- exactly how much or what percentage benefits the organization
- when and how that benefit is paid
A purchase is never called a tax-deductible donation unless that is legally accurate.
GIVE
SUPPORT THE ORGANIZATION DIRECTLY.
Where direct contributions are enabled, we clearly identify:
- the beneficiary
- who processes the contribution
- whether it may be tax deductible
- any applicable fees or conditions
- how funds reach the organization
Shopping and donating are never blurred into one transaction type.
YOU SHOULD ALWAYS KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING,WHO BENEFITS AND HOW.
KEEP IT SIMPLE. KEEP IT FAIR.
IF IT'S ON THE BOARD,WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN IT.
Every edition publishes its primary competition metric before play begins.
Both organizations compete for the same defined period under the same published rules.
The scoreboard reflects verified qualifying activity—not vague “engagement.”
Rules for qualifying purchases, contributions, cancellations, returns, reversals, ties and corrections are established for the edition before the competition begins.
If something doesn't qualify, it doesn't quietly get added because it makes the show more exciting.
THE DRAMA CAN BE MESSY.THE MATH CAN'T BE.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END?
BOTH KEEP WHAT THEY BUILT.ONE GETS THE BONUS.
When time expires, the verified leader receives the additional winner benefit announced for that edition.
That might be supplied or funded by a presenting partner or another confirmed source. The benefit must be real, defined and disclosed before the competition.
If there's a tie, cancellation, material technical problem or other exception, the published edition rules determine what happens next.
- NO INVENTED PRIZES.
- NO MOVING THE GOALPOSTS.
- NO TAKING SUPPORT AWAY.
WANT IN?
PUT YOUR COMMUNITY IN THE GAME.
THE GREAT GIVE-OFF is being developed for verified nonprofits, chapters and community organizations with a real mission and people they can rally.
You do not need the biggest organization. You do need:
- a verifiable organization
- a clear beneficiary
- somebody authorized to participate
- willingness to mobilize your community
- agreement to the published competition and financial-transparency rules
Tell us who you are, what you do and who you could rally. Submitting does not promise acceptance into an edition. Participating organizations are participants in the format — you are not required to purchase sponsorship in order to compete.
PRODUCTS + OFFERS
PUT YOUR PRODUCT BEHIND A COMMUNITY.
Approved products, offers and experiences can become part of a GREAT GIVE-OFF edition, where a qualifying purchase generates a precisely disclosed benefit for the participating organization—stated before anyone buys.
That stays a purchase, not a donation. Direct contributions remain a separate, separately labeled path.
We are interested in offers that make the competition more interesting—not products awkwardly pasted into a fundraising show.
A COMMERCIAL POSITION WITH A PURPOSE
WANT TO GIVE THE WINNER SOMETHING EXTRA?POWER THE WINNER BENEFIT.
An appropriate partner can fund or supply the additional confirmed benefit waiting for the leading organization—subject to agreed terms, approvals and disclosure.
The benefit is defined and published before the competition begins. Powering the bonus never changes the scoring rules or who wins.
FOR BRANDS
DON'T JUST PUT YOUR LOGO NEXT TO GENEROSITY.HELP CREATE MORE OF IT.
A presenting or participating brand can help supply the ingredient that raises the stakes: the winner benefit, a challenge, a matching moment, an audience activation, an experience or another meaningful part of the show.
The sponsor should make THE GREAT GIVE-OFF better for the organizations and better for the audience.

GOOD SHOULD BE AUDITABLE.
IF MONEY MOVES,THE RULES SHOULDN'T BE MYSTERIOUS.

THE GREAT GIVE-OFF SHOULD MAKE GENEROSITY MORE EXCITING.NEVER LESS TRUSTWORTHY.

THE GREAT GIVE-OFF
DIFFERENT CAUSES.SAME STAGE.MORE REASONS TO RALLY.
THE GREAT GIVE-OFF is a repeatable OH THAT! Original, not a one-off fundraiser. Every edition brings two organizations, two communities and a new reason to rally.
The format stays recognizable. The people and causes keep changing.
DON'T JUST SAY YOU SUPPORT A COMMUNITY. HELP GIVE IT SOMETHING TO RALLY AROUND.
Partners can help fund the winner benefit, provide an approved offer or product, power a recurring element of the format, or help make another GREAT GIVE-OFF possible.
