Privacy Policy

Interesting Queers™ is a media property of FranklinAlexander Ventures, LLC (“FAV,” “we,” “us”) and is part of OH THAT!, which FAV also operates. This policy explains what we collect through the Interesting Queers nomination and referral forms and how we use it.

Information we collect

When you submit a nomination, we collect:

• The nominee’s name and location
• Any website or social profile for the nominee you share
• Your explanation of why we should talk to the nominee
• Your name and email address as the nominator, and whether you are nominating yourself

When you submit a referral after booking an interview, we collect:

• The referred person’s name, and any email address, website or social profile you share for them
• Your explanation of why they are interesting
• Whether you are willing to introduce us
• Your name and email address as the referrer

We also collect limited technical and security information to prevent spam and abuse, such as submission timing and basic request data. Please share only what the form asks for and nothing sensitive.

Information about other people

Nominations and referrals often include information about someone other than the person submitting the form. That person has not necessarily been told about the submission or agreed to it. Please share only information you reasonably believe they would be comfortable with. We use information about nominees and referred people only to evaluate the submission and, if we choose, to contact them about Interesting Queers. Submitting a nomination or referral does not guarantee that we will contact anyone or publish anything.

How we use information

• To review and evaluate nominations and referrals
• To contact nominators, referrers, nominees or referred people about a submission
• To operate and administer Interesting Queers
• To maintain appropriate internal records
• To prevent spam, misuse and abuse

We do not sell this information. A nomination or referral does not add anyone to a marketing list.

Storage and access

Submissions are stored privately in the systems FAV uses to operate OH THAT! and are not visible to other visitors. Access is limited to people working on Interesting Queers. When a submission arrives, an internal notification containing its details is sent to the founder’s OH THAT! email.

Retention

We keep nominations and referrals for as long as they are needed to evaluate them, contact the people involved, and keep appropriate internal records, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Service providers

We use third-party hosting and infrastructure providers to operate this site and store submissions. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Cookies and tracking

Interesting Queers is part of the OH THAT! website, which uses analytics tools as described in the OH THAT! Privacy Policy and the site’s cookie choices.

Your choices

Anyone who submitted a nomination or referral, and anyone a submission is about, may ask to see, correct or delete that information by emailing support@ohthatlive.com with “Interesting Queers” in the subject line. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Changes

We may update this policy as Interesting Queers develops. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
