I KNOW THAT!
Official Rules
Effective: September 23, 2026 · Version 2026-09-23
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT HELP YOU WIN.
I KNOW THAT! is a live knowledge game operated by FranklinAlexander Ventures, LLC through OH THAT!
Our goal is simple: answer all 12 questions correctly and you win a share of the announced OH THAT! Shopping Spree prize pool.
These Official Rules explain the details.
1. WHO CAN PLAY FOR A PRIZE
To be eligible to win, you must:
- be a legal resident of one of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or Canada excluding Quebec;
- be at least 18 years old or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher;
- have a valid I KNOW THAT! player account;
- provide the registration and verification information OH THAT! requires;
- accept these Official Rules and the OH THAT! Terms of Use; and
- comply with these Official Rules throughout the game.
Employees, officers and directors of FranklinAlexander Ventures, LLC, and people directly involved in producing, administering, writing, testing or securing a particular I KNOW THAT! game, and members of their immediate households, are not eligible to win that game.
Eligibility is subject to applicable law.
Void in Quebec and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
People outside the prize-eligible territory may be permitted to watch or play recreationally, but they cannot win a prize.
2. IT'S FREE TO PLAY
No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
Buying something from OH THAT!, a seller, sponsor or advertiser does not improve your score, give you extra chances, extend your answer time or otherwise improve your ability to win.
You never have to buy something to qualify for the I KNOW THAT! prize.
3. HOW THE GAME WORKS
A standard I KNOW THAT! game consists of 12 knowledge questions.
Unless we announce otherwise before a question begins, you have 15 seconds to submit your answer.
To win, you must correctly answer all 12 questions.
If you answer a question incorrectly, or if our game system does not receive an answer from you within the official answer window, you are no longer eligible for the main prize in that game.
Your first answer received by the system is your final answer.
You may continue playing for fun after being eliminated from prize eligibility.
4. YOU MUST BE THERE LIVE
Only answers submitted during the official live game count toward a prize.
If you join after Question 1 has begun, you may play along, but you cannot win the main prize for that game.
Watching a replay does not qualify you for a prize.
5. SPEED DOESN'T DETERMINE THE WINNER
I KNOW THAT! is about getting the answers right.
Speed does not determine whether you qualify for the main prize or how large your share will be.
We may use response time for leaderboards, rankings, recognition or bragging rights among players, but it does not change the main-prize calculation.
6. EVERY PERFECT PLAYER WINS
Every eligible player who correctly answers all 12 questions wins a share of the announced prize pool.
If there is one eligible 12-for-12 player, that player receives the entire pool.
If there is more than one, the pool is divided equally among all eligible 12-for-12 players.
For example:
$10,000 Shopping Spree Pool + 10 eligible perfect players = $1,000 Shopping Spree for each winner.
Prize shares may be rounded to the nearest cent. OH THAT! will absorb any immaterial rounding difference.
7. THE PRIZE: OH THAT! SHOPPING SPREE
The prize is an OH THAT! Shopping Spree, provided as promotional shopping credit for eligible purchases through OH THAT!
Unless otherwise disclosed for a particular game:
- $1 of Shopping Spree credit provides $1 toward eligible merchandise;
- Shopping Spree credit is not redeemable or withdrawable for cash;
- you may use part of your balance and retain the remainder until its expiration;
- if a purchase exceeds your available balance, you may pay the difference using an accepted payment method;
- merchandise availability, seller participation, geographic restrictions and shipping restrictions may apply;
- some products may not be available or legally shippable to every location; and
- shipping, taxes, duties and other charges may be separate unless we specifically state otherwise.
Each Shopping Spree award expires 12 months after the date it is awarded.
If you win more than once, each award keeps its own award date and expiration date. A later win does not restart the expiration period for an earlier award.
OH THAT! may extend an expiration date in its discretion, but no winner is entitled to an extension.
The player's Shopping Spree account or other applicable record may display award balances and expiration dates.
8. EACH GAME HAS AN ANNOUNCED PRIZE POOL
The Shopping Spree pool available for a game will be announced before or in connection with that game.
If no eligible player answers all 12 questions correctly, OH THAT! may increase the prize pool announced for a future game.
For example, if nobody wins a $10,000 game, OH THAT! may announce a $20,000 Shopping Spree pool for the next game.
Each game nevertheless has its own announced prize pool. No player acquires an ownership interest in an unawarded prize pool merely by participating in a prior game.
9. ONE PERSON, ONE PLAYER ACCOUNT
One human being may use only one player account to compete for a prize in a game.
Creating or using multiple accounts, identities or registrations to obtain an advantage is prohibited.
More than one legitimate player may participate from the same household, network or internet connection. Sharing an IP address does not by itself make someone ineligible.
We may require reasonable identity, age, residence, account or other eligibility verification before awarding a prize.
10. PLAY FAIR
I KNOW THAT! is a test of your knowledge, not your technology.
You may not use or participate through:
- bots or automated answering systems;
- scripts or other unauthorized automation;
- artificial-intelligence tools or AI assistants to obtain answers;
- search engines, reference services or other outside answer assistance;
- another person answering for you;
- coordinated answer-sharing or collusion;
- duplicate or fraudulent accounts;
- impersonation;
- manipulation, interference with or exploitation of the game or platform; or
- any other method that gives you an unauthorized or unfair advantage.
OH THAT! may review suspicious activity and may delay awarding or making a prize available while conducting a reasonable integrity or eligibility review.
We may disqualify a player when we reasonably determine that the player violated these Official Rules or attempted to compromise the fairness or integrity of the game.
We do not have to disclose our fraud-detection methods, security systems or investigative techniques.
11. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Prize questions are intended to have objectively verifiable answers.
Sometimes the real world is messier than trivia.
If we determine that more than one answer to a question is legitimately correct or defensible, we may accept each appropriate answer where reasonably possible.
If a question is fundamentally defective, materially ambiguous, has no defensible correct answer, or otherwise cannot fairly be scored, OH THAT! may void that question.
Players who were still prize-eligible immediately before a voided question will remain eligible after it.
We do not have to restart an otherwise valid game solely because a question is voided.
12. IF WE MAKE A MISTAKE
Our operating principle is:
THE PLAYER NEVER PAYS FOR OUR MISTAKE.
If we discover after a game that an OH THAT! question, answer key or scoring error caused legitimate players to be incorrectly excluded from the winning group, we may reconstruct the results using the corrected scoring.
The correct share for each winner will be calculated by dividing the original announced prize pool by the corrected number of eligible winners.
A newly recognized winner will receive the corrected share.
If OH THAT! has already credited another winner more than that winner would have received under the corrected result, we will not ordinarily reduce or claw back that previously credited amount because of our error.
OH THAT! will bear the resulting additional prize cost.
This policy does not protect a player who obtained an award through fraud, cheating, misrepresentation or violation of these Official Rules.
13. YOUR CONNECTION AND DEVICE
Because I KNOW THAT! is live, timing matters.
You are responsible for your device, browser, internet connection, cellular connection, bandwidth and other technology on your side of the game.
An answer counts only when our game system receives it during the official answer window.
A delayed connection, frozen browser, lost signal, device failure or similar individual problem does not ordinarily entitle a player to extra time, reinstatement, a replay or another opportunity to answer.
14. IF OUR SYSTEM HAS A PROBLEM
If an OH THAT! or platform-wide technical problem materially affects the game, OH THAT! may take reasonable action necessary to protect the integrity and fair administration of the game.
Depending on what happened, that may include:
- pausing and resuming the game;
- resuming from the last reliably verified game state;
- voiding an affected question;
- correcting scoring;
- postponing or rescheduling the game; or
- cancelling the affected game when it cannot fairly be completed.
If a game must be cancelled before a valid result can be determined, OH THAT! may incorporate the intended prize amount into the prize pool announced for a future game.
We will make these decisions based on the circumstances and the goal of producing a fair and reliable result.
15. SPONSORED QUESTIONS AND PRIZE POOLS
A standard I KNOW THAT! game may include a clearly identified sponsored or branded question.
A sponsored question must meet the same answerability and fairness standards as other prize questions.
We will clearly identify sponsored content where required.
A sponsor may also provide or help fund a prize pool. Sponsorship does not change the way winners qualify unless a different game format is expressly announced and governed by separate Official Rules.
Buying a sponsor's product never improves your ability to win I KNOW THAT!
16. WINNER VERIFICATION
A displayed score, leaderboard position or preliminary winner announcement is not necessarily final verification of a prize.
Before making an award available, OH THAT! may reasonably verify a potential winner's:
- identity;
- age;
- residence and geographic eligibility;
- account;
- compliance with these Official Rules;
- game activity; and
- other information reasonably necessary to administer the game, prevent fraud or comply with law.
A potential winner who refuses or fails to provide reasonably requested verification may be disqualified if OH THAT! cannot otherwise establish eligibility.
17. TAXES AND REQUIRED INFORMATION
Winners are responsible for any taxes or other governmental obligations applicable to their prizes.
OH THAT! does not provide individual tax advice.
FranklinAlexander Ventures, LLC may request tax forms, identification or other information and may report prizes, withhold amounts or take other actions when required by applicable law.
If applicable law prevents us from lawfully awarding or delivering a prize to a particular person or jurisdiction, the award may be withheld, modified or otherwise handled as required by law.
18. MOBILE NUMBER AND COMMUNICATIONS
We may require a mobile number as part of registration, identity verification, fraud prevention, security or game administration.
Providing a mobile number does not by itself mean that you consent to receive marketing text messages.
Where consent is required, SMS/text-message permissions are handled separately in accordance with the OH THAT! Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
You do not have to consent to marketing text messages to play or win I KNOW THAT!
19. PRIVACY
Information collected in connection with I KNOW THAT! is handled in accordance with the OH THAT! Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Game administration may involve collecting and using information reasonably necessary for registration, eligibility, scoring, security, fraud prevention, verification, prize administration, analytics and other purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
20. “EVERYONE CAN WIN”
Our descriptor is:
THE LIVE GAME SHOW WHERE EVERYONE CAN WIN.
It means that every legally eligible player has the opportunity to win by satisfying the announced game requirements.
It does not mean every person who participates will receive a prize.
For the standard game:
Every eligible player who answers all 12 questions correctly wins a share of the announced Shopping Spree pool.
21. CHANGES, CANCELLATION AND COMPLIANCE
OH THAT! may modify these Official Rules prospectively when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal or regulatory developments, protect game security or integrity, address material technology or operational changes, or improve the fair administration of future games.
Material changes will be reflected in the published Official Rules with an updated effective date.
Unless required by law or necessary to address fraud or misconduct, a later rule change will not retroactively take away a prize already legitimately earned under the rules applicable to that game.
OH THAT! may suspend, modify or discontinue I KNOW THAT!, or a particular game, when reasonably necessary because of legal requirements, fraud, security concerns, technical failures, force majeure or other circumstances materially affecting our ability to operate the game fairly or lawfully.
22. OTHER TERMS
Participation in I KNOW THAT! is also subject to the OH THAT! Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
If these Official Rules conflict with the general Terms of Use concerning the administration of I KNOW THAT!, these more specific Official Rules control for I KNOW THAT! to the extent of that conflict, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Official Rules limits rights or protections that cannot lawfully be waived.
23. GOVERNING LAW
Except where applicable law provides otherwise, these Official Rules and I KNOW THAT! are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Disputes are subject to the dispute and venue provisions in the OH THAT! Terms of Use, except to the extent mandatory laws in a player's jurisdiction provide rights that cannot lawfully be waived or displaced.
